Cookie policy

What cookies we use
| Category | Purpose | Set without consent? |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Recording your consent choice and keeping the site secure. | Yes — the site cannot work without them. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics: which pages are used, how visitors arrive. | No. |
| Advertising | Google AdSense and its partners: serving, capping and measuring ads. | No. |
| Personalisation | Tailoring which ads you see based on interests inferred by Google. | No. |
Your choice
Under PECR, the UK regulator (the ICO) requires your consent before any non-essential cookie is set, and treats analytics and advertising cookies as non-essential. Visitors from the UK, the European Economic Area and Switzerland are therefore asked to consent first, using a Consent Management Platform certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework — which Google separately requires of publishers serving ads in those regions.
You can withdraw or change consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Declining costs you nothing here: every calculator works identically, and you will see non-personalised advertising instead of personalised advertising.
Browser controls
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so will not break the calculators, since they do not depend on cookies at all.
Third parties
Cookies set by Google are governed by Google's own policies. How Google uses data from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
